Online therapy

Before the pandemic I would not have imagined that I and so many of my fellow therapists would be offering therapy services online. Much to my surprise I witnessed that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy. I was initially reluctant to do EMDR online but with some support and guidance I was amazed to see the same results as in-person therapy for processing trauma. I discovered there were unexpected benefits that many of my clients began to share - more convenience with scheduling options; less stress as well as saving time and money from needing to drive and park their car; and for many feeling a sense of safety and comfort in their home. Additionally I am able to meet with people that would be to faraway to meet with me in person.

What do you need to get started with online therapy?

Once we have had our free phone consultation and mutually decided we would be a good fit I will send you my intake forms through a secure online portal called Simple Practice. You will fill out and sign all the forms electronically. Once all the forms are completed I will contact you to schedule your first appointment.

For an online session you will need:

  • A private space to meet

  • A smartphone, tablet or computer that has video and audio

  • A reliable internet connection

  • You must be in Oregon or Washington at the time of your therapy appointment
